Never in my life have I ever seen so many sheep in one place! There are literally fences EVERYWHERE, but somehow the sheep never seem to be IN them... Instead they all go hobbling about in and around the road, usually in the way of the bus. They are an inconsiderate breed.
I apologize in advance for the un-interestingness of today's blog and pictures... it was mainly a travel day, though we were dragged off the bus into the freezing cold highlands rain no less than 5 times. Last night was a doozie, though, shower-wise. My goodness... just picture a goldfish that's been coated in butter doing slidey-slide all over in its little bowl...and that's how my "tub shower" went.
On a side note, I have a hugely massive crush on our bus driver, Brian. For instance, I was walking up the 3 flights of stairs (yes, 3... again...) to my hotel room this evening and ran into him... he said "The sign says the rooms go up to 40, but i'm in room 50! It must be Harry Potter's old room"....!?! Wow. Struck quite a cord with me, nerd-wise. Also there is a big bear in a kilt on the dashboard of his bus. Brian, you are the mustard to my baloney. (eeeek! That's even too weird when I write it!)
Other Tidbits:
1. You know you have a good Ginger Snap when the box has a disclaimer right next to a picture of an old lady. The Border Spicy Ginger Crunch 'biscuits' are the best snaps of all the snaps, and the box says (in large letters, mind you), "Not for the faint hearted!." They did not dissappoint.
3. I survived my first ferry ride today! All rejoice!
4. Other food that is edible: the tomato, basil, and cheese pasta from the CO-OP, and the Cadbury Twist. Delicious in the extreme.
5. Tomorrow is Viking Day. I'm hoping to buy a helmet with horns to use at Halloween-time. Wish me luck!...oh, and we took a tour of a distillery today...does the fun ever stop?
Wishing it was 100 degrees here, too, as my room is pretty nippy-
Ashley
